Prunus Lusitanica (Portuguese Laurel) Italian Specimen Plant, 140-160cm Tall

£149.99

Italian Specimen plant.  These are pot grown, not rootball.

140-160cm height (this is the planted height, i.e. from base of stem / top of pot, to top of growth, in a 35 litre pot.

Can be used as a single specimen, or to form a dense, evergreen hedge with dark green leaves and white flowers in late spring.

Different to Cherry Laurel (or Common Laurel), in appearance and growth rate.

A single plant will grow into a good sized tree if left for long enough, although is slow growing.

Relatively slow growing (slower than ordinary Laurel or Leylandii), will put on up to 1ft (30cm) of growth a year if left untrimmed.  Once the hedge has reached its desired height it should be trimmed at that height accordingly to maintain its size and increase its density.  This will slow down the upward growth of your hedge and encourage growth sideways to make a denser hedge.
