Phormium (New Zealand Flax) ‘Pink Stripe’

A wonderful feature plant with a strong architectural silhouette. Its broad, strap-shaped leaves are a dark olive green, but each has a pink trim to the outer edges.

Form a fountain-like clump that adds structure, form & colour to the garden throughout the year. Occasionally, upright stems appear in summer bearing tubular burgundy flowers.

Requires minimal pruning. In late spring remove any dead or damaged leaves and apply a balanced fertiliser and a mulch of well-rotted organic matter to stimulate vigorous, new growth.
