Musa Acuminata, Dwarf Cavendish, Banana Plant, 10 litre pot

£24.99

Banana Plants provide wonderful foliage as house plants. In most cases, it is the Dwarf varieties that are best suited to being grown indoors, such as this Dwarf Cavendish.

Plant Care:

Light: Musa grow best in bright, indirect light, but will tolerate partial shade and some direct sun.

Water: These are thirsty plants, so you will need to water regularly. Water when the top 4-5cm of the soil has become slightly dry.

Temperature: Average to warm temperatures from 18-27°C but can cope with as low as 10°C. Avoid draughts.

Humidity: Increased humidity levels are preferred. Stand on a wet pebble tray and mist frequently. Dry conditions will damage the delicate leaves.

Feed: Apply a balanced fertiliser every few weeks during the growing season.

Care tips: Some stems may be bent or creased on arrival due to the way the plants are packaged for transit by the growers. Leaves also tear naturally as they unfurl and mature.

Air Purifying: This plant filters airborne toxins and is part of our clean air plant collection.

Height and Growth Rate: Ultimate height 2-3m. Fast growing in warm conditions.

Origin: Canary Islands.
