‘Hobergine’ is a bushy, deciduous shrub, growing to about 1.2m height and spread, with elliptic, slightly-serrated mid-green leaves.  Smallish flower heads, borne over a long period in summer and into autumn,are purple on acid soil, darker in the sun; rose pink on neutral to alkaline soil, red in the sun.
