A compact, bushy, evergreen perennial with linear to lance-shaped, dark green leaves and dense racemes of fragrant flowers in spring and again in autumn.

Position: full sun or partial shade
Soil: moderately fertile, well-drained, neutral to alkaline soil
Rate of growth: average to fast-growing
Flowering period: autumn to spring
Hardiness: fully hardy

Regular dead-heading will help prolong the display, and provide overnight cloche protection where frosts are very severe or prolonged.
