Ajuga Pyramidalis ‘Metallica Crispa’

Semi-evergreen ‘Metallica Crispa’ has purple-bronze, crinkled foliage.

In late summer the mature leaves take on almost metallic overtones, hence its name.  It also bears spikes of dark blue flowers in mid-spring to mid-summer.

A very useful ground cover plant.

This plant will be happy in most aspects, soil types and conditions except for very dry shade.
