Silene Uniflora ‘Rosea’

A low-growing, mat forming plant with olive-green leaves and delicate lilac-pink veined flowers.

Silene vulgaris is semi-evergreen, and bears sprays of white flowers in Summer.  The flowers have a bladdery, inflated calyx.

Silene can be annuals, biennials or herbaceous or evergreen perennials.  The leaves are untoothed, and the flowers can be solitary or clustered, and have 5 petals, often notched.
