‘Red Sarah Bernhardt’ is a clump-forming, herbaceous perennial to 90cm tall with deep green foliage divided into lance-shaped leaflets.

Fragrant, double blooms, 15-20cm in diameter, comprising dark pinkish-purple petals tinged with red are borne from late spring into early summer.

Paeonia may be herbaceous perennials or deciduous sub-shrubs with large, divided leaves and showy large bowl-shaped flowers, usually in early summer.
