Garden Gnome Group is a dwarf poppy; a short-lived perennial usually grown as a biennial. The lobed, grey-green foliage forms a soft mound about 30cm across.
The fragrant, papery, bowl-shaped flowers in white, cream, yellow, orange or red appear from late spring to late summer on stems to 30cm tall.
Papaver can be annuals, biennials or herbaceous perennials with simple or pinnately divided leaves and short-lived, saucer-shaped, 4-petalled flowers which may be solitary or in racemes.
